Emmanuel Frimpong

Emmanuel left Arsenal in Janury 2014 to join Championship side Barnsley.

An energetic, box-to-box presence, the midfielder made 16 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side having struggled with injuries as he looked to break into the first team.

An integral part of the 2009 FA Youth Cup-winning side, he made his first-team debut at Newcastle on the opening day of the 2011/12 season – making a fine first start against Liverpool the following week. He then spent a loan stint at Wolves, before further spells at Charlton Athletic and Fulham.

Emmanuel also achieved at international level, winning his first full cap for Ghana in the World Cup qualifier against Sudan in March 2013.

The midfielder spent the remainder of the 2013/14 season at Barnsley before joining Russian Premier League side FC Ufa, following Barnsley's relegation to League One.
