David Price

David Price was an ever-striving midfielder with industrious and courageous qualities who spent eight years with Arsenal.

After five seasons on the fringes of the first team, Price became a regular in the 1977/78 season, providing an efficient link between defence and attack.

In 1979 he helped Arsenal to FA Cup success, providing Brian Talbot with the opening goal of a 3-2 victory over Manchester United at Wembley.

That was the only winners' medal Price collected at the Club despite reaching four Cup Finals during his time in the first team.

Competition for places saw Price squeezed out of the side, and in March 1981 he joined Crystal Palace before going ending his Football League days with Leyton Orient.
