Brian Kidd had a short but fruitful spell at Highbury between 1974 and 1976.
The striker joined Arsenal from Manchester United in July 1974 for £110,000, having featured in Sir Matt Busby's 1968 European Cup-winning side.
He made his league debut at Leicester City one month later, scoring at Filbert Street before adding two more in the team's third game of the season at home to Manchester City.
Kidd found the net 19 times in 40 appearances over the 1974/75 season and was Arsenal's top goalscorer by a considerable stretch. His final year at Highbury was less successful with 11 goals in 37 appearances, but nonetheless the striker's form had caught the eye.
Eventually Manchester City made their move for him in July 1976 for a fee of £100,000, after Kidd found the net five times in the final seven matches of the season.
Kidd took to coaching after football, spending two months in charge of Preston North End in 1986 before heading back to Manchester United as assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson until 1998. He joined Manchester City as Roberto Mancini's assistant in 2009.
