William (Billy) Garbutt played for Woolwich Arsenal between 1905-08 and helped the Club reach its first FA Cup Semi-Final.
The outside right joined from Reading in December 1905 and went on to score 14 goals in 65 appearances after making his debut against Preston North End.
Garbutt was a mainstay on the right wing as Arsenal reached successive FA Cup Semi-Finals before he was replaced by Jackie Mordue. He made his final appearance in an FA Cup meeting with Hull City and joined Blackburn in January 1908.
After his playing career, Garbutt held coaching posts at Genoa, Rome, Naples and Athletic Bilbao.
