Bill Johnstone

Bill Johnstone was never on the losing side when he played for the Arsenal first team.

The inside forward featured nine times in just over 18 months after joining from Reading in May 1929.

Johnstone made his league debut in a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in September of that year but was not a regular as Arsenal finished 14th in the First Division.

He scored four goals before transferring Oldham Athletic for £2,130 in January 1931.
