Left back Andy Kennedy was a regular in the Arsenal side of the mid-1920s under Leslie Knighton. With 129 appearances in his six-year spell at Highbury, the Belfast-born defender proved a success in north London after his transfer from Crystal Palace in 1922.
Herbert Chapman eventually decided his services were no longer required three years into his reign and sold the defender to Everton for £2,000 in 1928.
Kennedy featured in Arsenal's 1927 FA Cup Final defeat to Cardiff and earned two full caps for Northern Ireland. After his retirement he became an Arsenal scout in the north-west in the 1950s.
