Allen Ward's spell with Arsenal was short but eventful.
The half back joined the ranks at Highbury from Burton Wanderers in May 1895, making his league debut against Grimsby Town in September of that year.
But his seventh Arsenal appearance, a 3-0 win over his former club Burton in October, proved to be his last.
Ward was suspended for a breach of discipline in November 1895 for the remainder of the season, before leaving Woolwich for good.
