Inside forward Adam Haywood was signed from Swandlincote in January 1986 and made his senior debut against Leicester Fosse.
During his three years at Arsenal, Haywood scored 31 goals in 84 league games and netted a further five times in seven FA Cup appearances.
Upon leaving the Club, Haywood joined Queens Park Rangers before representing New Brompton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion, Blackpool and Crystal Palace, where he became a coach after finishing his playing career.
