WHAT HAPPENED

We extended our lead at the top of the U-18 Premier League table on Friday with a convincing 3-0 win over third-placed Chelsea.

We came into this fixture off the back of six consecutive victories in the league - and wasted no time in asserting our dominance.

Sam Greenwood latched on to a loose pass from Marcel Lavinier and picked out Folarin Balogun, who raced through on goal and fired past Nicolas Tie at the second time of asking. The 17-year-old has now scored 17 goals in 14 league games this season.

After the break, Trae Coyle cut in from the left and delivered a lofted ball over the top of the Blues’ defence, before Tyreece John-Jules rounded the keeper and fired into an empty net.

We pushed on and soon found ourselves three goals to the good when Sam Greenwood pounced on Balogun’s knockdown and converted from close range.
