Arsenal in the Community launch new website

Arsenal in the Community

We are proud to unveil a revamped section of the website devoted to Arsenal in the Community, which has been using the power of the Arsenal name to positively impact the lives of young people since 1985.

As a football club we exist to perform on the pitch, but community and a sense of social responsibility has been the core to what we have always stood for. In 1985 we became the first club in the country to establish a community department, and since that bold decision our community provision has grown and strengthened into something the club, its players, staff and fans can be hugely proud of. In 2022 our team continues to deliver sport, social and education programmes to over 5,000 individuals each week.

For an organisation to own its social responsibility in this unique way is a blueprint for corporate organisations to follow, adding to the many innovative ‘firsts’ where we have led the way.

The new Arsenal in the Community website reflects that pioneering approach. As well as our mission statement, a guide to the projects we deliver and more information about our community centre, The Arsenal Hub, you will find a wealth of content that shines a light on the work our dedicated staff devote themselves to.

On top of all the latest news you will be able to read in-depth features about our work, including the story of our renowned Arsenal Kicks project, how we help disadvantaged members of society into work and how the country’s most successful women’s football club was born out of the Community department.

There are also real-life stories from people who have benefitted from both our own work and the tireless efforts of local charities that have received funding from The Arsenal Foundation, as well as photo galleries that include our players helping to launch our new kit out in the community and how we stepped up to help local people during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are also videos related to our own projects and others we have helped to fund, plus links to our social media accounts.

Please take the time to browse the new pages, and we hope the new site reinforces the fact that, while we may be driven by results on the pitch, Arsenal is so much more than just a football club.

You can find the Community pages under 'The Club' section on the menu at the top of the page, or by heading here.

Thank you for being on board with us.
