Arsenal in the Community Hub

There was a Christmas surprise for a host of participants in Arsenal in the Community projects when Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Jurrien Timber, Oleksandr Zinchenko, William Saliba, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and Takehiro Tomiyasu called in at The Arsenal Hub last week.

Our first-team players came in to watch, take part in sessions and chat to locals who take part in projects including Arsenal Bowls, North London United’s Down Syndrome football sessions and Primary Stars.

Players were given the chance to sit in on a number of lessons and talked to our BTEC/NCFE Level 3 students around sports development, coaching and fitness programmes. They also took part in an Arsenal Bowls session, a programme delivered in partnership with Islington Council at local community centres and The Arsenal Hub that gives residents the opportunity to stay active and socialise.

Participants were understandably excited to meet the players, who need no reminding that our work in the community remains at the heart of everything we do off the pitch.
