What did you gain from doing the Arsenal Gap Year?
The Arsenal Gap Year provides an incredible opportunity to not only gain a wide range of new skills, but also offers life changing experiences. The experiences you get from situations both home and abroad not only develop you as a coach, but also as a person, teaching you to deal with pressure, show kindness and help everyone you encounter.
What was your favourite part of the programme?
Getting to travel and understand new cultures and ways of life was my favourite part of the Arsenal Gap Year. Not only did I get to meet so many incredible new people, I also got to do what I love and coach football to so many amazing kids, as well as getting the opportunity to teach English and work on community projects.
How would you describe your overall experience on the Arsenal Gap Year?
The Arsenal Gap Year was life changing. It was the best gap year I could have hoped for, as I not only got to gain new skills and experiences but I also got to travel and experience new cultures, meeting so many incredible people along the way.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of doing the Arsenal Gap Year?
The advice that I would give to anyone thinking of doing the Arsenal Gap Year is to take every opportunity you can get - I guarantee that you will look back and realise that you were lucky to get the chance. You can make a million decisions that don’t matter and then suddenly you take a gap year and it changes your life. If you love football and want to travel there is no better gap year out there. The skills and experiences you gain are second to none. If you want a varied gap year where you will not only have the time of your life, but can also build up skills that you can use anywhere, the Arsenal Gap Year is for you.
