Arsenal Debut v Gillingham (H), FA Cup, April 18, 2021 (won 10-0)

Highly-rated young defender Teyah missed the whole of last season, after suffering two ACL injuries in little over a year – although she was able to take her place on the bench for our final five WSL games. The classy, confident centre-back, who joined our academy at the age of seven, made her senior debut as a substitute during a 10-0 FA Cup fourth-round win over Gillingham in April 2021 – the competition having been delayed from the previous season by Covid – and featured again in a 9-0 win over Crystal Palace in the following round.

Teyah made her Champions League and WSL debuts the following season and then went on loan to Championship side Watford in January 2022, and had just been named their Player of the Month when she suffered her first ACL injury against Sheffield United in March 2022, although she did sign her first professional contract with Arsenal when she turned 18 that June.

The talented defender captained England at under-15 level and most recently appeared for the under-19s.
