International Career 88 caps and 26 goals for Ireland

Ever-reliable and increasingly versatile, fan favourite Katie featured in all but one game last season and played in four positions: left back, left wing, right back and right wing. She showed tremendous consistency despite those multiple roles, and as well as being hugely influential in big games she chipped in with both goals in a gritty 2-1 win at Bristol City in October 2023, as well as the 92nd-minute equaliser in the dramatic 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium seven days earlier.

The Republic of Ireland skipper built on a fine 2022/23 campaign in which she won both our Player and Goal of the Season awards, and she has been a key presence in the side since her return from a league title-winning loan spell at Glasgow City in 2017, having originally joined the Gunners in December 2015.

A fiercely competitive leader on and off the pitch, Katie became the Republic of Ireland’s youngest-ever captain at the age of just 21 and led her country at the 2023 World Cup, scoring their first-ever goal at the finals, followed by promotion from Group B in the 2024 UEFA Women’s Nations League.
