Young midfielder Kathrine continued her development last season by featuring six times for the Gunners before heading out on loan to Everton, where she made 13 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists as the Merseyside club climbed away from danger to finish eighth in the WSL and reach the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
Technically superb and calm under pressure, Kathrine joined in January 2023 from FC Nordsjaelland, with whom she won the Danish Cup in 2020, and showed plenty of the talent that marked her out as one of Europe’s brightest prospects during 18 appearances across the second half of the season. Her clever movement and quick thinking make her well suited to our passing game, and like Victoria Pelova she scored her first goal for the club in only her second appearance, and on her first start, in a 9-0 win over Leeds United in the FA Cup.
A full international at the age of 17, Kathrine gained valuable experience at the 2022 Euros and 2023 World Cup, where she ranked in the top ten for distance covered, dribbles and tackles, despite Denmark falling to co-hosts Australia in the Round of 16.
