Having joined Arsenal from Bayern Munich in May 2019, the all-action midfielder is capable of contributing at both ends of the field.

The dominant midfielder has an impressive resumé. Making her senior debut for FC Twente at just 16 years of age, Jill went on to make over 100 appearances for the Dutch side, winning seven trophies along the way. Jill was also crowned top goal-scorer for the 2015/16 Eredivisie season.  

Having established herself in the Eredivisie, Jill went on to sign for Bayern Munich.

A senior international, Jill made her debut for the Netherlands national side in February 2015. Roord was an influential player for the Netherlands side that won the 2017 UEFA Women’s European Championship alongside fellow Arsenal players Danielle van de Donk and Vivianne Miedema. The trio were also involved in the Netherlands side that finished runners-up in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
