Age Restrictions
Manchester City would like to highlight their policy in relation to Under 18s attending a match at the Joie Stadium.
Under 14s
Supporters Under 14 are not allowed to enter the stadium without an Adult (Over 18). As a result, and in-line with reasonable adjustments, any supporter who is Under 14 must attend with their parent/guardian and are required to pay the prevailing rate for both their seats. For the avoidance of doubt, this applies to all disabled supporters, whether walking ambulant or who require the use of a wheelchair.
Over 14 and Under 18
Supporters Over 14 and Under 18 can enter the stadium unaccompanied however they are not allowed to be responsible for another supporter. Only supporters Over 18 can be responsible for a child Under 18
Groups
When visiting with groups of children or young people, it is important that the level of supervision is appropriate to their age group and their needs, which may be very specific. In general, younger children need to be more closely supervised and will require a higher adult to child ratio. The following are the adult to child ratios we recommend you work to when attending an event at Manchester City:
- Age 0-2: 1 adult to 3 children
- Age 2-3: 1 adult to 4 children
- Age 4-8 1 adult to 6 children
- Age 9-12: 1 adult to 8 children
- Age 13-17 1 adult to 10 children
If the group is mixed gender, the supervising staff should also include both male and female supervision wherever possible. The above are in line with NSPCC guidelines, nspcc.org.uk.
Disability Access
We have been allocated 4 wheelchair pairs which will be available for purchase by contacting our Disability Liaison Team on +44 (0)20 7619 5000 (option 2) once we are on sale. Complimentary personal assistant tickets are available to those with wheelchair/ambulant requirements.
