Beth Mead and Stina Blackstenius have been nominated for the Barclays Goal of the Month for September.
Our pair are two of six contenders for the fan-voted award this month. Beth's beautifully curling shot just five minutes into the North London Derby at Emirates Stadium, opened the scoring against Tottenham and gave Beth her third goal of the season. She has also been nominated for September's Player of the Month, alongside our centreback Rafaelle Souza.
Stina, meanwhile, scored our second goal against Brighton and our second of the WSL campaign with a rocket into the top left hand corner, past Megan Walsh's outstretched glove.
Beth and Stina are up against Jess Park's goal in the Merseyside derby and Ashleigh Neville's long-range effort for Spurs against Leicester City.
Aston Villa and Manchester City's opening clash earned two nominations: City's Laura Coombs on the half-volley and Rachel Daly's debut curler which put the Villains 2-0 ahead.
