It's time to pick our Women's Player of the Month for March!
After a difficult February, the success our Gunners managed to achieve in March was incredible - winning one piece of silverware and staking our claim for two more. March began with the Conti Cup Final as we clinched our first trophy under Jonas Eidevall, and culminated with us securing a place in the semi-final of the UEFA Women's Champions League for the first time in a decade.
But who will be chosen as our standout performer?
- With four goals across all competitions, Stina Blackstenius was our top scorer in March. Our centre-forward's goals arrived precisely when they needed to, including a vital equaliser against Chelsea in the Conti Cup Final and the headed winner against Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium
- Caitlin Foord has been nothing short of unstoppable. As the guiding light in the away leg against Bayern, our Aussie also bagged a brace and an assist in the North London Derby to cap off her incredible run of form in both the league and in Europe
- When big moments call, Kim Little delivers. Our skipper's dominance in the middle of the park during the Conti Cup Final was instrumental to our eventual victory and Little has also been deadly from the spot, converting all three penalties with aplomb
- Leah Williamson has displayed her skill and versatility as both a centre-back and midfielder this month, with three clean sheets, two assists, and her first goal in a year. She took on captain's responsibilities for the decisive home leg against Bayern Munich, rallying our Gunners to a 2-1 aggregate victory and the UWCL semi-finals
