Arsenal's Player of the Month for December

Voting is now open to determine who will be crowned our men’s Player of the Month for December.

During a busy month for the club that saw us participate in eight fixtures, there were some fine displays from various members of Mikel Arteta’s squad as they rounded off the Champions League group stage, and remained amongst the pacesetters in this season’s Premier League.

As usual, there are four players to choose from, so evaluate the candidates and vote below - but be quick as you only have 48 hours to do so!

Kai Havertz

Last month’s winner is in with a shot of taking the prize again after continuing his goalscoring exploits from November into December.

The German started six times and found the net on two occasions - netting a crucial equaliser at Luton Town during our 4-3 success, before wrapping up a 2-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion to take his tally to five since his summer arrival.

Gabriel Jesus

The Brazilian striker played a key role during the month by getting on the scoresheet twice, which came in the same games as Havertz. Gabby headed in Ben White’s fine delivery to put us back in front against Luton, and would then go on to brilliantly assist Kai to make the scores 3-3 at Kenilworth Road.

He again used his head to good measure against the Seagulls when he was perfectly placed to score following a corner to put us in the lead, which was his seventh goal in all competitions this term.

Martin Odegaard

The skipper made some vital contributions during December, when he played every minute of our seven Premier League matches. He kicked the month off by finishing off a fine team move against Wolves, which proved to be the winner in our 2-1 victory.

Then in the following game against Luton, he put in the pinpoint cross necessary for Declan Rice to climb high and head in our dramatic stoppage-winner. Martin would also provide the delivery for Gabriel to score against Liverpool as we claimed a 1-1 draw at Anfield, giving him four assists this term to add to his seven strikes.

Bukayo Saka

Once again our Hale End graduate was in the thick of the goals during the final month of 2023, which he kickstarted by grabbing the opener against Wolves at Emirates Stadium after linking up well with Jesus and Takahiro Tomiyasu.

He then bagged himself an assist against the Hatters when he set up Gabriel Martinelli for the first of a seven-goal thriller, and ended the month by grabbing his ninth of the campaign at Fulham to put him on top of our goalscoring charts.

Voting has now closed.
