Joe Montemurro has given a heartfelt appeal for donations to support the volunteers fighting the Australian bushfires.
This is what our head coach said:
"Having grown up in Australia, bushfires are a common place in our region," our head coach said.
"The summer holidays and Christmas celebrations for some communities have become a time of sadness.
"Blazes have already burnt 1.2 million hectares in Victoria alone and claimed lives. Nationally 26 people have died.
"The danger is predicted to worsen at the weekend due to the volatile weather conditions. The fires have destroyed communities as well as wildlife and flora that may never recover. The smoke has reduced air quality to harmful levels which is affecting human health.
"There are many people who give their time and help as volunteers, and they need all the assistance that we can give.
"Every little bit helps, so please, click on any of the following links and find out how you can do your bit to help."
