U21s preview: West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal

ismail oulad

Our under-21s will be looking for back-to-back league wins as we travel to Keys Park to face West Bromwich Albion on Monday, February 26 - kick-off is at 7pm (UK).

Mehmet Ali’s young Gunners sit in third place with 25 points after 13 games played. We are six points behind West Ham United in second, but we do have two games in hand.

Last time out, we came back from behind to beat Southampton 4-2 at Meadow Park. Nathan Butler-Oyedeji put us ahead after just two minutes before two quick-fire goals from the visitors had us down 2-1 at half-time. A flurry of three goals in 12 minutes from Osman Kamara, Ismail Oulad M’Hand and Jimi Gower saw us complete an impressive second-half turnaround.

Opposition look

West Brom sits in 20th place of the Premier League 2 and has struggled for the majority of the season so far. They have just 12 points from 12 games and have only recorded three league wins all season.

They’ve lost their last two league fixtures in a row, with their most recent defeat coming to their fiercest rivals Wolves last Monday night.

How to follow

We will be providing updates throughout the game on our academy Twitter page, and there will be a match report published on Arsenal.com after the final whistle.

We will also be sharing post-match interviews with Mehmet Ali and one of his young Gunners, as well as highlights of all the action.
