Team news: Zinchenko, Vieira start against Saints

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been deemed fit enough to return to our starting XI for tonight’s game against Southampton.

The left-back replaces Kieran Tierney as one of two changes to Mikel Arteta’s side that drew 2-2 with West Ham United on Sunday, with Fabio Vieira also coming in for Granit Xhaka who drops out of the matchday squad through illness.

Saints boss Ruben Selles meanwhile has made three switches from the team that lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace last Saturday, with Adam Armstrong given the nod to start up front in place of Joe Aribo.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is ineligible to face his former club and is replaced by Romain Peraud at left-back, while Mohamed Elyounoussi comes is preferred to Kamaleen Sulemana.

Arsenal: Ramsdale, White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Vieira, Odegaard, Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

Subs: Turner, Walters, Tierney, Kiwior, Jorginho, Nelson, Smith Rowe, Trossard, Nketiah.

Southampton: Bazunu, Perraud, Bednarek, Bella-Kotchap, Walker-Peters, Ward-Prowse, Lavia, Walcott, Elyounoussi, Armstrong, Alcaraz.

Subs: McCarthy, Lyanco, Caleta-Car, Diallo, Armstrong, Orsic, Sulemana, Onuachu, Aribo.
