Team News: Unchanged team for Porto test

Martin Odegaard pre-Porto

Mikel Arteta has named the same starting line up for the third match in a row, to take on FC Porto in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 in Portugal.

Having scored 11 goals without reply in our last two games – away to West Ham United and Burnley – the boss has stuck with his charges as we look to progress to the last eight of the competition for the first time in 14 years.

It means David Raya starts in goal behind the back four of Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel and Jakub Kiwior. Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz make up the midfield.

Bukayo Saka – with six goals in his last four games – is part of the forward trio with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Fabio Vieira returns to the matchday squad at the home of his former club, having not played since November.

Also among the 12 subs is 17-year-old left-footed defender Ayden Heaven, who has impressed for Jack Wilshere’s under-18 side this season.

Arsenal: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Rice, Havertz, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard. Subs: Ramsdale, Hein, Cedric, Sweet, Heaven, Elneny, Jorginho, Vieira, Nwaneri, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Nketiah.
