Team news: Turner starts, Jesus on bench

turner training

Matt Turner will make his first appearance in an Arsenal shirt this afternoon as he starts against 1. FC Nurnberg this afternoon.

The American shot-stopper will take his place between the sticks as part of a side that sees Eddie Nketiah start in attack, while also hoping to get his first taste of Arsenal action is Gabriel Jesus, who is part of a strong bench that also includes fellow summer arrival Marquinhos.

Eddie Nketiah start in attack, after his hat-trick against Ipswich Town last weekend helped get pre-season up and running with a 5-1 Gunners win, with Reuell Walters also named in the starting XI (find out more about him here).

His fellow under-21 teammates Salah-Eddine Oulad M'hand, Matt Smith and Lino Sousa are included in the matchday squad - get all the info on all of our young Gunners who could feature this afternoon.
