Team news: Trossard makes first PL start

Nketiah and Trossard shirts in Villa dressing room

Leandro Trossard makes his first Premier League start for us in the early kick off at Villa Park, one of two changes to the side that lost 3-1 at home to Manchester City on Wednesday.

The Belgian has been impressive off the bench since joining from Brighton in January, and started our FA Cup fourth round tie away to Manchester City. He replaces Gabriel Martinelli on the left side of the attack.

Ben White returns at right back after missing Wednesday’s game, in place of Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Emile Smith Rowe is named among the substitutes, having featured only six times so far this season.

As for the hosts - managed by our former boss Unai Emery - they make five changes from the side that lost at Manchester City last weekend.

Arsenal: Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Jorginho, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Trossard, Nketiah.

Subs: Turner, Tierney, Tomiyasu, Holding, Kiwior, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Vieira, Nelson
