Team news: Nketiah and Vieira to face Tottenham

Eddie Nketiah celebrates against Fulham

Mikel Arteta has made two changes to his side for today’s north London derby meeting with Tottenham Hotspur, with Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira coming into the side.

The duo were benched for our midweek Champions League win against PSV Eindhoven, but are named in the starting XI today with Leandro Trossard missing out with a slight muscle issue.

Vieira once again is preferred to Kai Havertz as he was in our last league encounter against Everton seven days ago, while Cedric is included on the bench.

Tottenham have made one switch from their team that salvaged a dramatic 2-1 win against Sheffield United last weekend, with summer signing Brennan Johnson given the nod over fellow recent recruit Manor Solomon.

The Welshman makes his second appearance at Emirates Stadium already this season, having played in our opener against Nottingham Forest, while Argentinian under-20 international Alejo Veliz is named in a matchday squad for the first time.

Arsenal: Raya, White, Saiba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Rice, Odegaard, Vieira, Saka, Jesus, Nketiah.

Subs: Ramsdale, Cedric, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Elneny, Jorginho, Havertz, Smith Rowe, Nelson.

Tottenham: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van der Ven, Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson, Son.

Subs: Forster, Davies, Royal, Dier, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Solomon, Richarlison, Veliz.
