Vivianne Miedema has returned to our matchday squad to face Bristol City, after almost eleven months out of action.
Miedema has been involved in full team training for a number of weeks and should she make an appearance this evening, it would be her 98th Women’s Super League match.
Our Dutch forward sustained an ACL injury against Lyon in the UEFA Women’s Champions League back in December, just two weeks after Beth Mead had suffered the very same injury against Manchester United.
Mead, who made her first appearance in almost a year against Aston Villa and provided the game-winning assist in the process, is also in the squad to face the Robins.
Elsewhere, Eidevall has made two changes to last weekend’s starting lineup with Laia Codina coming in for an injured Amanda Ilestedt and Victoria Pelova earning her first WSL start of the campaign.
Caitlin Foord also makes her 100th appearance for the Arsenal tonight, starting on the wing.
Arsenal starting XI: Zinsberger (GK), Wubben-Moy, Catley, Little (C), Walti, McCabe, Maritz, Foord, Pelova, Russo, Codina
Subs: D'Angelo (GK), Beattie, Kuhl, Cooney-Cross, Maanum, Lacasse, Blackstenius, Mead, Miedema
