Team news: Arteta makes two changes for Fulham

Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard

Mikel Arteta has made two changes to his side for today’s game against Fulham, with Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard coming into the side.

Kiwior has been given the nod to start in place of the suspended Takehiro Tomiyasu following his red card in Monday’s 1-0 win at Crystal Palace, while Trossard is handed his first start of the campaign with Eddie Nketiah dropping to the bench.

There is a new face on the bench too, with Gabriel Jesus returning from his knee injury to be named in a matchday squad for the first time.

Marco Silva has also opted to make two changes to his Cottagers side, with fit-again Joao Palhinha preferred to Harrison Reed, while as expected summer recruit Calvin Bassey fills in for the suspended Tim Ream at the heart of defence.

Former Gunner Bernd Leno starts in goal, but another ex-Arsenal man in William misses out with an Achilles injury.

Arsenal: Ramsdale, Partey, White, Saliba, Kiwior, Rice, Odegaard, Havertz, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard.

Subs: Raya, Zinchenko, Gabriel, Jorginho, Vieira, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Nketiah, Jesus.
