Emile Smith Rowe is full of confidence right now.
Our 19-year-old playmaker struggled to find game time at the start of the season but was brought back into the first-team fold by Freddie Ljungberg, playing against Manchester City and Everton under our interim head coach.
Although he is yet to feature in a Mikel Arteta starting XI, Smith Rowe is already enjoying working with our new head coach.
"He's boosted a lot of players' confidence," he said. "We're all so happy that he's here. He's been here, he knows what it's like.
“We're all just smiling every day, the whole environment has changed and we're just so happy he's here.
"I know Freddie as well because he managed me when I was at under-23 level, so I've known him for quite a while now," Smith Rowe added.
"He's a great manager, he helps young players so much. It's great because Freddie's a legend, he's been here in the same position.
"Mikel has been in the same position as well, he knows what it's like, he knows what he's doing. We're just so happy and looking forward to the future."
