Saka receives letters of thanks from Nigerian kids

Since 2022, Bukayo Saka has been supporting childrenโ€™s medical charity BigShoe, helping to fund 120 life-changing operations in Kano, Nigeria.

Bukayo's parents both hail from the country and he is proud of his heritage, and he was keen to work with the charity to help youngsters suffering from diseases like inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias or brain tumours.

Recently, our forward received letters of thanks from some of those children whose lives have been transformed thanks to his generosity, as well as Dr Musa Ibrahim who performed many of the surgeries.

"It makes me smile," Bukayo said upon reading the correspondence. "These kind of things mean more than anything in the world.

"To make children happy and give them the opportunity to enjoy their lives in the way that most of us here are able to do enjoy and do what we love."

Bukayo penned his own response to Dr Ibrahim, and you can see their messages to each other by pressing play on the video above.
