Declan Rice has capped off a fine start to his Arsenal career by being deemed by our supporters as our Player of the Month for August.
The England international played his part in helping us to collect seven points from our opening three fixtures at the start of the campaign, and his industrious displays in defence and attack saw him amass 56 per cent of the vote to come out ahead of Eddie Nketiah, Ben White and William Saliba in the voting.
As well as winning the Community Shield in his first game in our colours, Declan went on to win back possession 17 times in the next three games, as well as making nine tackles and four interceptions to break up play. He was statistically our best defender against Fulham, but he has also proved to be just as effective at the other end of the field.
He made 29 final third entries in the first three league games to combine with our frontmen, and against Nottingham Forest no-one had more shots on target than the new boy who tested Matt Turner on three occasions.
He also completed over 92 per cent of all of his passes during the month, and you can see his best bits by pressing play on the video above.
