Alex Lacazette has stressed his "trust" in Reiss Nelson's talent after the 20-year-old scored his first Premier League goal in the win against Liverpool.
The French forward spoke to the media after the game - and this is what he said:
on the performance and the result...
I am quite happy because we won the game. We started with a bit of fear, we didn't want to take responsibility but afterwards we started trying to play, even if it was Liverpool today.
on forcing Liverpool into mistakes...
The coach works on every team and every game, so he gives us advice to put them under pressure. Sometimes it works, sometimes not but today I think we are happy because we forced a mistake and we scored.
on enjoying this goal more than the screamer against Tottenham...
Yes, at the end we came back in the game with this one so of course I am really happy today.
on Reiss Nelson...
He is a big talent and does a lot of work behind [the scenes]. I trust in him, he is working a lot in every training session and today he had the chance to start and I am really happy for him because I think he deserves it.
on confidence ahead of Saturday...
Hopefully we're going to keep the confidence of the last 70 minutes today against City on Saturday. In one game you never know... we know that we have a lot of qualities, we're a big team with big players but we never know what is going to happen until the game.
