Red-hot Saka up for PL Player of the Month award

Bukayo Saka celebrates a goal

Bukayo Saka’s sizzling form in February has seen him nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

Our forward has been lethal in front of goal during our past four league games, netting six times - more than any other player in the division during the month - and your votes can help our Hake End graduate scoop the silverware.

Bukayo started February by scoring against Liverpool in our 3-1 win, before bagging braces during our emphatic victories at West Ham and Burnley. He then squeezed home an effort against Newcastle United in our 4-1 success to reach 16 goals this season in all competitions - his highest-ever tally. He has now netted in five successive league games for us - the first Englishman to do so in 30 years.

Bukayo is up against six other players to claim the accolade for the second time in his career, following on from his success in March 2023.

His England teammates Phil Foden and Ollie Watkins are also contenders having scored four goals apiece during February, while Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund is the only other player to have scored more goals than games in the month, bagging five in four outings.

Wolves’ wins at Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have seen Joao Gomes nominated, while Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross’ four assists and a goal have also got him a nod, with Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz rounding off the shortlist thanks to his three strikes in five matches.

You can vote for Bukayo now until Monday, March 4 at 12pm GMT, with supporter votes being added to those of a panel to determine the winner.
