We would like to provide an update to our supporters ahead of our Barclays Women’s Super League clash against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Following freezing temperatures, pitch inspections will take place on Saturday morning to assess whether the match will go ahead.
An initial inspection will take place at 9.30am by our groundstaff, followed by a final pitch inspection by the match officials at 10:30am.
The decision on whether the match goes ahead will be taken by the match officials, and our intention is to communicate this by 11am.
We have made every possible effort to ensure the match goes ahead as planned tomorrow, including working with the FA to install a heated dome at the start of this week to protect the playing surface.
However, with low temperatures set to persist overnight, we have agreed the above course of action together with the FA and Everton.
A further update will be communicated around 11am on Saturday.
