England face the Netherlands in their European Championship semi-final in Enschede on Thursday night - and Jordan Nobbs knows exactly who to watch out for.
The 24-year-old England international will be joined by Vivianne Miedema - a new signing - at the start of the new WSL season and has highlighted the Dutch forward as a threat to the Lionesses' chances of progression.
Jordan spoke to Arsenal.com while in the Netherlands - and here is what she said:
on what changes we can expect after Jill Scott’s suspension…
Obviously it’s a big loss for us to lose one of our players, but I think we’ve got a strong squad of 23 to take part in this tournament and whatever Mark’s game plan after that is, we don’t know yet, but I’m sure we’ll be prepared and ready to face Holland.
on how she would feel if she had to play in the middle for England…
As long as I’m on that pitch, it’s an incredible moment for me and i’ll definitely work as hard as I can wherever that may be but it’s exciting just to be a part of this squad at the moment and if I play centre-mid or right-wing I’ll always wear the shirt and do the best I can.
on what she can say about the Arsenal team-mates she will be facing…
They’re obviously talented players and they’ve been doing really well in this tournament. They’re fit and Sari’s been playing well in goal, DVD obviously talented in the middle, so we know it’ll be a tough challenge, but we’re ready to face that and we definitely know what they’re strengths are.
on how well she knows Vivianne Miedema…
Yeah, she looks a good tidy player on the ball and scores lots of goals for Holland, so she’s going to be one that we need to stop, but we’ve not been conceding goals this tournament, so I think we’re in a great place to face her.
