Arsene Wenger is not expecting Manchester United to "ease off" when they visit Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s side became champions of England for the 20th time on Monday night following a convincing 3-0 victory at home to Aston Villa.
Wenger is expecting the champions to be on a high from that win but concedes that their performance levels could drop in the last couple of weeks of the season.
“It’s easy to ease off, yes,” he said. “I do not hope too much. It is a special game, always, a little bit because naturally the stress is not there any more.
“Your tendency is to relax a little bit. The fact is they might continue to go [for it], or because it is just the next game. I think in two to three games they will ease off. Whether they want to or not.
“You are still on the high for the next game. It would be a big mistake for us to think they will ease off straight away on Sunday. It can happen in two weeks.”
