Loan Watch: Martinez plays in cup win

Damian Martinez played 90 minutes as Sheffield Wednesday progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a narrow win over Rochdale. Joe Mattock put Wednesday ahead in the 21st minute before Oguchi Onyewu doubled their advantage six minutes later. Michael Rose halved the deficit on the hourn mark but Wednesday held out for victory.

Chuba Akpom came on as a late substitute as Brentford returned to the top of League One with a 2-1 win over Gillingham. Jonathan Douglas put the Bees in front after 22 minutes before Marcello Trotta put them further ahead with a penalty on 70 minutes. Cody McDonald pulled a goal back for Gillingham but  Brentford held on for a vital three points.

Wellington Silva played the final 24 minutes in Real Murcia's 2-2 draw at home to Mallorca. Kike put Murcia ahead on 16 minutes but Pedro Bigas levelled for the visitors 13 minutes later. Eddy Pascual's goal on 74 minutes sent Murcia back in front but they were pegged back for the second time when Gerard equalised 10 minutes from time.

The visitors took the lead on 23 minutes through Jeff Goulding before a Terrel Forbes own goal put Wood on level terms 10 minutes after half-time. Graham Montgomery put the hosts ahead two minutes later but Goulding scored a late equaliser to secure point for Dover.
