Arsenal Nepal Supporters’ Club successfully organised its first ever Arsenal Nepal futsal tournament on Saturday, June, 29, 2013.

The international supporters' group, which boasts more than 100 dedicated members from all over Nepal, hosted the event which saw a total of 73 players participate across eight teams.

Players were randomly selected and put into teams named after Arsenal Legends. After a set of competitive pool matches between the sides, it was left to Team Adams, Team Bergkamp, Team Lehmann and Team Wright to battle it out in the semi-finals.

Team Lehmann comfortably defeated Team Wright to secure their final berth, while Team Adams secured their passage into the decider by beating Team Bergkamp with a last-gasp goal in the dying moments of the game.

In the final, Team Lehmann eventually prevailed to be awarded the Arsenal Nepal Futsal 2013 Trophy by board members Nabin Chitrakar, SovietSubba Tumbahangphe, Sagun Katuwal & Mohan Ghimire. Individual awards were also given out to the player of the tournament, top goalscorer & best goalkeeper, while certificates for all participants will be distributed at the Club’s Annual General Meeting taking place in August.

Arsenal Nepal Supporters’ Club is one of the largest in Asia, and regularly organises match screenings for its Arsenal members across the capital, Kathmandu.
