Calum Chambers played the 90 minutes game and scored as Middlesbrough drew 2-2 with Manchester City. Boro went in front when Alvaro Negredo scored, only for Sergio Aguero to level from the penalty spot. Chambers then restored the advantage for the hosts, before Gabriel Jesus hit a late equaliser.
Wojciech Szczesny played the entirety of Roma’s 3-1 loss to Lazio. Balde Keita gave Lazio the lead, with Daniele de Rossi levelling from the penalty spot just before half-time. Dusan Basta restored Lazio’s lead before another goal from Balde.
Takuma Asano was substituted at half-time in Stuttgart’s 3-2 win at Nuremberg. Hanno Behrens and Cedric Teuchert gave the hosts a two-goal advantage, before Stuttgart fought back with goals from Simon Terodde, Daniel Ginczek and Florian Klein.
Ismael Bennacer played the whole game and claimed an assist as Tours won against Clermont. Cheick Diarra opened the scoring before two strikes from Denis Bouanga - the second assisted by Bennacer - put the game beyond reach.
Julio Pleguezuelo played the full 90 minutes as Mallorca won 3-2 at Sevilla B. Brandon and Thierry Moutinho gave the visitors a two-goal lead before Ivi Lopez pulled one back. Moutinho then got on the scoresheet again, as did Lopez, but Mallorca held on for the victory.
Gedion Zelalem was substituted at half-time as VVV-Venlo lost 4-1 to Jong Ajax. Mateo Cassierra, Kenny Tete and David Neres gave Ajax a three-goal lead before half-time, before a Clint Leemans penalty reduced the deficit in the 51st minute. Vaclav Cerny then scored for Ajax to end hopes of a fightback.
