April 12, 1994: European final reached

On April 12, 1994, we reached the final of the European Cup Winners’ Cup with a nailbiting 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

An early goal from Kevin Campbell made the difference, the striker heading in Lee Dixon’s perfect cross at the near post.

PSG, inspired by David Ginola, fought back but our famous back four - led by Tony Adams - kept them at bay, while David Seaman made some key saves.

There was one notable blot on a glorious night - the yellow card awarded to Ian Wright that ruled him out of the final in Copenhagen.
