Szczesny keeps clean sheet for Roma

Wojciech Szczesny played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet as Roma won 3-0 at Palermo. Stephan El Shaaraway opened the scoring in the first half before Edin Dzeko and Bruno Peres struck in the final 15 minutes.

Jack Wilshere played the final five minutes of Bournemouth’s 3-2 win over West Ham United. A hat-trick from Josh King saw the Cherries pick up all three points despite strikes from Michail Antonio and Andre Ayew.

Joel Campbell was an 86th-minute substitute as Sporting Lisbon beat Tondela 4-1. Jhon Murillo scored for Tondela, with Bas Dost scoring all four goals for Sporting.

Takuma Asano played 66 minutes of Stuttgart’s 1-1 home draw with Bochum. Anthony Losilla gave the visitors the lead before Daniel Ginczek’s leveller.

Krystian Bielik was substituted in added time of Birmingham City’s 1-1 draw at Cardiff City. Joe Ralls gave the Bluebirds the lead with a penalty, before Lukasz Jutkiewicz’s equaliser in the 89th minute.

Gedion Zelalem came on in the 61st minute as VVV-Venlo 4-1 against Fortuna Sittard. Ralf Seuntjens opened the scoring before Emrah Bassan pulled Fortuna level. Seuntjens then struck twice more, with Vito van Crooij also finding the net.

Matt Macey played the entirety of Luton Town’s 2-0 loss to Stevenage. Luke Wilkinson and Ben Kennedy scored for Boro, with Kaylen Hinds an unused substitute.

Marc Bola played the full 90 minutes as Notts County won 2-1 at home against Hartlepool United. Shola Ameobi opened the scoring before Jorge Grant added a second. Hayden Hollis’ own goal proved not to be enough for the Pools.

Dan Crowley played the full 90 minutes and assisted Go Ahead Eagles’ only goal in a 3-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven. Siem de Jong, Luuk de Jong and Andres Guardado scored for PSV, with Elvis Manu on target for the Eagles.

Ismael Bennacer played 70 minutes as Tours won 3-1 at home against Orleans. Denis Bouanga opened the scoring before Florian Miguel added a second. Romain Armand pulled one back for the visitors before Bouanga struck again.

Kelechi Nwakali was substituted in added time of Maastricht’s 1-0 win over Dordrecht, with fellow Arsenal loanee Stefan O’Connor replacing him. Florian Loshaj scored the game’s only goal.
