The first full day on this year's tour of the United States began with all 23 members of the travelling squad playing a full part in training, under the midday California sun. Petr Cech won a goalkeepers' crossbar challenge at the end of the session.

Meanwhile, Arsène Wenger emphasised the need for his side to make the most of their trip to California as he, Jack Wilshere and Petr Cech met the assembled media throngs at the pre-match press conference in San Jose.
Two Arsenal legends have travelled to America's west coast with the squad, and both Liam Brady and Freddie Ljungberg showed they have still got it when beating a group of local fans at soccer tennis.

The highlight of an intense afternoon training session was a three-way, winner stays on eight-a-side tournament, won by the team featuring Emi Martinez, Alex Iwobi, Nacho Monreal, Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Mohamed Elneny, Rob Holding and Mathieu Debuchy. Iwobi and Walcott were among the goalscorers for the men in blue bibs.
Freddie and Liam were back on duty at the end of a busy day, taking part in the popular American soccer show Men in Blazers. The two gave their thoughts on the All-Star match in a live show in downtown San Jose, with Liam predicting a 4-2 win for the Gunners on Thursday evening.
