Pedro Martinez Losa admits Arsenal Ladies found it tough going against Birmingham’s physicality during their 0-0 draw on Sunday.
The Gunners were unable to break the deadlock against David Parker’s side, with Dominique Janssen’s late free-kick that hit the woodwork the closest they came.
"We didn’t concede any goals, though. On another day, we might not have been so lucky"
The result leaves them eight points behind league leaders Manchester City, and Losa says Birmingham’s tough tackling didn’t allow his side to play their best football.
“They made it difficult,” he told Arsenal.com. “They tried to bully us and tried to play in behind all the time. The referee called every contact and that helped them.
“We never played comfortably and that is difficult for the group. Parts of the game were good, but other parts of the game were not good.
“Birmingham were physical and wanted to play balls in behind, which is not the game we want to play.
"We didn’t concede any goals, though. On another day, we might not have been so lucky. We need to keep the concentration in the group and keep trying."
