Alex Scott says that Danielle van de Donk is going to “take the league by storm” in her debut season in England.
The Netherlands midfielder made her Arsenal Ladies debut in the FA Women’s Cup victory at Reading, before helping the Gunners beat Reading on Wednesday in the Women’s Super League.
Van de Donk is one of six players to have signed since last season, and Scott believes the 24-year-old can play an important role in Arsenal’s title challenge this time around.
"She’s got so much technical ability and she’s feisty as well, even though she’s quite small"
“Pedro’s signed top-quality players and I really think that Danielle van de Donk is going to take the league by storm this year,” she told Arsenal Player.
“She’s got so much technical ability and she’s feisty as well, even though she’s quite small. She’s got that aggressive side to her game as well.
“Asisat [Oshoala] has also come in and we’ve all seen what she can do for Liverpool and also for Nigeria in the World Cup. She’s got tremendous talent and I think she’s a great acquisition.
“We’ve also got Katie McCabe, who has got a feisty side and could take the team by storm too. We’ve got quality additions and we’re just looking forward to the season.”
