Pedro Martinez Losa says Chloe Kelly “has a huge potential" to develop into a regular first-team forward for Arsenal Ladies.
The 18-year-old signed her first professional contract on Monday after scoring on her full senior debut against Watford last season.
Kelly is the latest in a long line of Centre of Excellence graduates to make the step up to the first team, and Losa believes the teenager has all the qualities to become a key player for Arsenal in the future.
"Her potential is huge so we want to give her, not just Chloe but all the young players we have, a chance to help them develop"
“She has shown us she is very talented in the few games she played last year,” the manager told Arsenal.com. “Now this is the starting point of her professional career. We are giving her the opportunity and we are hoping she can take it.
“At the moment, she is adapting to the intensity and the training programmes we have been preparing in all areas. It is not just good for Chloe Kelly, but it is good for the whole Centre of Excellence.
"We have some excellent players in the youth system who receive opportunities and receive the best professional training. Chloe Kelly is a sign of how we want to operate and do things. We want the young players.
“Her potential is huge so we want to give her, not just Chloe but all the young players we have, a chance to help them develop. I think her main strength is in front of goal, she can finish with the right foot, the left foot and there is a lot of potential to work with.”
