Danielle Carter says she is hungry to lift even more trophies with Arsenal Ladies.
The England forward signed a contract extension with the club on Tuesday after helping the Gunners win the Continental Cup last season.
It was the 11th trophy that Carter has lifted during her six-year spell in north London and she is looking forward to achieving even more with Arsenal, starting this season.
"Since I’ve been here we have always won trophies, whether it’s the Continental Cup, FA Cup or the league"
“To add another two years on to my contract is great,” she told Arsenal Player. “It’s a pleasure to still be at Arsenal and continue to progress with this club.
“Since I’ve been here we have always won trophies, whether it’s the Continental Cup, FA Cup or the league. We just want to win as many trophies as possible. I’m definitely going to keep striving to avoid being trophyless while I’m here.
“I have won 11 trophies which is fantastic, but that’s all in the past now. In the near future, this season we want to win the Women’s Super League, qualify for the Champions League, do well in the FA Cup and Continental Cup. We want to be up there competing for all the trophies on offers.
“The signings we’ve made show the strength of league now. There are so many movements going on. Liverpool have won it back-to-back and have lost a lot of players, but they’ve also brought in a lot of players. Chelsea and Manchester City have brought in players as well so it’s going to be a pleasure to be involved in such a good league this season.”
