Wojciech Szczesny saved a penalty in Roma's 6-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League. Lionel Messi’s strike and Luis Suarez’s brace gave the hosts a comfortable lead at the break. Gerard Pique added a fourth before Messi claimed his second of the night while substitute Adriano completed Barcelona’s scoring. Edin Dzeko pulled one back for Roma.

Yaya Sanogo came on as an 80th-minute substitute in the 2-1 win against Celtic in the Europa League. Callum McGregor put the hosts ahead before Arek Milik equalised. Vaclav Cerny scored late on to give the visitors the three points.
