Jordan Nobbs says that she is “proud” of Arsenal Ladies after they won the Continental Cup for the fourth time.
The midfielder was in fine form in the 3-0 win against Notts County, scoring two fantastic goals to help secure the trophy.
"We were crucial in the final third which was what we needed"
Nobbs believes the whole team can be proud of their achievement and says it is well deserved after a tough Women’s Super League campaign.
“It is a great feeling," she told Arsenal.Player. “All year we have wanted to come home with a trophy and prove what we can do. We worked well as a team and fully deserved it.
“To be honest I’m just proud of the team and I have struggled with injuries. We had to get through some of the earlier games to let me play today, so I’m truly proud of the team and glad I got to show what I can do in an Arsenal shirt.
“This club is used to winning trophies. When it comes to knock-out stages we seem to switch it on and perform and that is exactly what we did today. We were crucial in the final third which was what we needed.
“Playing for Arsenal we are used to winning trophies and it is the same with myself. Like I say, we are disappointed with the position in the league but the fans are proud of what we have done today."
