Ramsey supports elephant campaign

Aaron Ramsey and Paul Blackthorne

Aaron Ramsey is supporting the 'Poach Eggs Not Elephants' campaign.

The charity has been founded by Hollywood actor and Arsenal fan Paul Blackthorne, with the aim of raising money to buy 'Air Shepherds' - drones that track elephants and also the poachers.

The charity fears there will be no elephants anywhere in the world in the wild in 11 years, as 95 elephants are reportedly killed by poachers each day.

Blackthorne, who is currently starring in the hit show ‘Arrow’ on Sky One, said: "As a lifelong Arsenal supporter, it’s fantastic having Aaron Ramsey help support a cause we’re both so passionate about. Thanks for getting behind the ‘Poach Eggs Not Elephants’ t-shirt campaign Aaron, it's much appreciated."

"This is a fantastic charity and I'm really happy to support it,” Ramsey added. “Paul has done an amazing job and it is a subject close to my heart. The thought that there could be no elephants anywhere in the wild in 11 years is a terrible situation - hopefully we can do something about it."
